Director Rick Friedberg has optioned 'Go Get Carlos' by Mark Steinberg. It is 'Snatch' meets 'Run Lola Run'. Rick was a successful TV and feature director whose credits include 'Spy Hard' starring Leslie Nielsen, the TV series 'City Kids', 'The Twilight Zone' and others. Taking a break, Rick became a successful commercials director, having directed for Taco Bell, McDonalds, Mattel, Burger King, Toyota and a slew of others. Tim Vandesteeg of Vandy Productions and writer Ken Moulin have reached a work-for-hire agreement where Ken is writing a script based upon a concept of Vandesteeg's. Tim produced and directed the feature film 'Mulligan' and has produced several specials for ABC, including 'The Making of The Music Man' which documents the TV production of the musical starring Matthew Broderick. Ken Moulin is a previously optioned writer and this is his first writing job.

Jim Clark of Miller-Clark Entertainment has optioned the script 'Goodnight Pigdog' by Adam Jones. Miller-Clark Entertainment is a partnership between Jim Clark (director) and Gretchen Miller (producer) to produce live-action filmed projects. Their first live-action short film 'A Chance Meeting' was completed late last year. Clark and Miller are partners in the animation company, Animationwerks, and currently have a children's television program with Warner Brothers, as well as two different animated feature films that have been optioned by another studio and are now in visual development. This marks the second script Adam has optioned through our network! Adam is in the midst of editing his first feature film 'Cross Eyed' from a script he wrote, co-produced, directed, and acted.

Last week I mentioned Brian Young being hired to do a rewrite on a script ('Zackary's Goal') he had optioned to Crescent Entertainment. This is correct and was finished a couple of months ago. However, Brian was also hired to do a re-write on a new different script for Crescent Entertainment. This is a co-production with Warner Bros Germany. Michael Lonsdale of Untitled Films has optioned Chris Morgan's short script 'The Apartment'. Untitled Films is a multi-award winning film production company based in New Zealand. Rob Walker read one of Bernie Felix Jr.'s scripts and they have worked out an agreement for Bernie to write the script currently titled 'On borrowed time'. Walker's directing credits include the theatrically released 'Circus'. He is in post-production on two features - 'Mayhem!' and 'Border Bullet'. Walker is an accomplished TV, feature and stage director in the UK and moved to the US to produce films.

Nancy Stein of American Girl Productions has optioned the script 'Deborah Samson' by John Walker Bellingham. Stein's award-winning short film 'Stealing Innocence' was recently acquired by Simmons Lathen Media Group. Now she is working hot and heavy on this project. The 'Deborah Samson' script was found through our network, but it was because of the Women in Film and Video New England Screenplay Competition and their desire to get the winning writers as much exposure as possible. Cosgrove-Meurer Productions are the producers of 'Unsolved Mysteries' (starring Robert Stack) and numerous other TV movies, which can be found on IMDB.com under John Cosgrove and Terry Meurer. Richard Blade Sheppard has sold two screenplays (features) in the past, 'Hostage' and 'We're With The Band'. The writing team of Michael Steven Gregory and Anna Gilson has optioned their script 'Valentine Carol' to Craig Nichols of Pendle View LLC. In addition, Nichols has taken with this writing duo on for writing another untitled project. This is the third (fourth counting the untitled project) script Gregory has optioned where Inktip.com had a hand, not to mention his gaining representation with Brian Overland of Overland management. We are pleased to announce another three-picture deal to a first-time writer found through our network! Global Screen Partners fell in love with the script 'Statute of Limitations' by Mylo Carbia and loved her writing so much that she was signed to a three-picture deal. This was mentioned on YAHOO! MOVIE NEWS, FILMSTEW.COM, CBS, NBC, Latin Vision, etc.

The previous three-picture deal is John Sullivan, who was found through our network by manager Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment. Through Brooklyn, John got 275K against 575K (Variety, 2-12-02), for his script 'Rapid' with Columbia Pictures. It was then followed up by a 3-project deal with Dimension Films/Miramax.

Miller-Clark Entertainment is a partnership between Jim Clark (director) and Gretchen Miller (producer) to produce live-action filmed projects. Their first live-action short film 'A Chance Meeting' was completed late last year. 'Tango King' will be their first feature length film, with Clark set to direct and Miller to produce.
